Painting stand

For every bodyshell that I make I also make a mounting plate for painting. This plate both mounts the body and partially masks off the interior. I include this plate in each kit.

As you can see in the photos, the stand consists of a base and a threaded rod which screws into the base and into the painting plate.

No rocket science involved. It's simple and it works.

Small parts tray

Following on with the painting gadget theme, I have always found that (spray) painting the small stuff is a hassle. So I came up with a simple and inexpensive solution that works for me. This "small parts tray" screws on to my painting stand.

It uses ordinary 18mm blue painter's masking tape which is easily (and inexpensively) replaced after each use.

Decal tray

As the header says, "decal tray". It simply keeps all the stuff that I use to apply waterslides in the one place. Places for: Micro Sol and Micro Set bottles; a paintbrush for each; two pairs of tweezers; cotton buds.

Simply add water and away you go.

The empty slot is for cotton buds.
