1957 Connaught F1 (toothpaste tube)

One-piece inline chassis for FF-050 (slimline)

This Connaught which was variously dubbed the Dart or the Toothpaste Tube.

It was produced in the final months before Connaught shut down their operation and was bought, along with the other factory cars by a used car dealer by the name of Ecclestone. He sent the T-Tube to NZ with Stuart Lewis Evans driving with a view to selling it, but, as far as I know, it didn't get a buyer there.

As I have said elsewhere, I like to build unusual cars. I've never seen a slot car version of this car.
